Those heading out the the desert this year have been asking, "where will you guys be camping?" . Well we just got the email telling us! We have been assigned a 100'x150' spot at Begonia and 8:15. What does that mean? Well 'Begonia' is the is one of the main streets and 8:15 is an area with in that street. Here is this years lay out-
We're camping on the top left! As for the Singularity piece, It's going to be in the bottom left quadrant of the large open circle :-) It's coming up so soon!

So much is going on over here. We have finally been approved by Fractured Atlas for fiscal sponsorship. This means that direct donations made through the website are now tax deductible.  This is very important, because although our Kickstarter campaign is over, fundraising is still an issue (shipping! We have to get a 48 foot 18 wheeler for this beast!). Direct donation buttons are on all the pages now, so if you can help out, we very much appreciate it. And check back soon! This is a busy week that will be full of updates. Pods, phones, recording equipment, and Discovery Channel on Saturday!!

Wow. Just Wow. This was the very first kickstarter that anyone on our team has been a part of, so for it to be so successful is overwhelming. We have 138 supporters (from all around the country!) that donated almost a thousand over our goal. Thank you Thank you Thank you.
We still have months of hard work building, organizing, and fundraising (yup. we're still fundraising. Shipping alone on this piece is $10,000!). But to know that we have the support from so many people makes it that much easier. Thank you.

We had our art fundraiser/auction this past thursday held at the lovely FreshArts Arc Gallery. We even had one of the PODS out on view. If you missed it here are some pictures of the event from Matt Crawford! Enjoy!!!

We had paintings, photography, sculptures, and services donated by the team as well as by some wonderfully supportive Houston area artist.
Including Matt Messinger, Ian , Jeremy Keas, and Tommy Gregory.

Logan and Naeemah even put Betty up for auction! Talk about dedicated artist!

Troy and Logan worked late into the night trying to get the first pod prototype up. The idea was for them to be flexible and have lots of give, so that wind and dust storms simply make them bounce and jiggle a bit (I can't help but to think of the dancing mushrooms from Fantasia). Sadly, there were some structural issues and the original design was toooo wobbly. There was a  fear of having to rework the whole pod design.

'Squished' but not dust-storm proof :-/

As happens so often in life, a 'mistake' lead to a much grander idea. Troy and Logan are now working on a structural and visual detail that is even more interesting than the original design. Check back soon for the new and improved pods!

Those who have been to Burning Man before know that an easy way to find out the what/when/where is by tuning into the pirate radio stations on the playa. A WONDERFUL gentleman named Dennis is making 'ads' for various projects for theses stations. Check out the our 'ad', its awesome! (At first it sounds like you are on the wrong link, but I promise it's the right file. Just keep listening!)
Thank you Dennis!!!!

Hello wonderful supporters! Our documenter Matt Crawford is busy editing away the footage he got from our 'Crane Day'. It'll be up on the front page ASAP!
Also, we are still looking for more original music to add to future videos. If you make beats we would love to hear from you!

We had a great day of building (and that Texas sun is training us for building in the desert! It was HOT). Heavy machinery is the best. We still have a lot more to do, but the progress is going strong. Check back soon, the first full sized test pod is almost done as too.
