Working late into the night Troy Stanley and Logan put another level on the tower. We are now at 15 feet.....except this is just the teenie tiny top of the tower, we still have a massive base to put put together and the 10foot cap that brings us to the 40ft mark. "I have to tell you it was a nice experience being just that high up. We were only about 8ft up there, but you really start to appreciate the height when you  are walking on 4x4s, and to think that we will be able to be up there at full height...reminds me of a quote "I have stood amongst the tall trees, and now i am taller"   " - Troy
Check back soon as we are going to put that base level together on Wednesday.  :)

So we started our tower build yesterday. Its going together like tinker toys, but this isn't  your granddad's  erector set, this is 3/16 inch steel brackets welded by our team and full on 4x4 douglas fir. I know what your thinking, "wait i though this was going to be bigger?". This is just one of the 5 sections, and this one is the tiny one. The base diameter of the tower is 15' with a 16' ceiling. At the end of the tower build we will be sitting on top of a 40' high tower, drinking a LoneStar (Texas's own lone star beer). Wait and see what next weekend will bring :)

This project is so involved and quite honestly pretty crazy. It's been very difficult to explain with out a full blown slide show, so the most common answer to most questions has been," Just wait til the video is done. It will explain it all." And it does not disappoint. Matt Crawford and Che Rickman are amazing. They worked so hard making something complicated and crazy make sense and become relatable in an 8 minute video. I am in awe of how good it it. And I don't think I'm the only one. Our first 24 hours on kickstarter have already gotten us to $1790! This is so exciting! Our teams energy is through the roof right now :) and we need all the energy we can get , as tomorrow is our first day working on the tower build in Houston. Wish us luck! We will post pictures.

Thanks to Amberry for getting our T-shirts designed and printed, they look great. Our logo is based on our tower design with 16 nodes and a central Singularity. The design really dances when you look too long, or not long enough.   :)

Been a while since the last post. But here is some eye candy from Bobby Bs magic. Those my friends are our custom tower brackets horizontal members made out of 3/16 angle iron cut to precision ready to weld up. We're hoping to get this tower up in the air in early June. Needles
