Finally Got our TOWER PLANS from Structural Engineering. We have been so eager to get our hands dirty, splinters in our eyes, an welds in our shoes. This is going to be magic!!!

Just finished our first session of KickStarter video filming with Matt and Che. What a great experience! They were in an out, even with a power failure still made great use of the time, plus they are as excited about  the project as we all are. So much is held up until our video is done so I'm very excited about this process finally being underway. And just having to say things out loud, explaining the concept, design, and build, has invigorated how we all feel about this project. 
Good things are happening fast.

"We've got good news. You're going to burning man." 
That's the phone call that started the emotional roller coaster my team and I are on right now. The excitement and pride of being awarded an honorarium by the Burning Man art committee are intertwined with overwhelming realization of what a project of this magnitude means. What it means to me, what it means to us, and how hard we have to work to make it mean something to everyone who experiences it. 
Creating this piece is going to require the help of an entire community, and once that last piece is erected, it will belong to the community. And I, for one, can not wait for that moment.
